Rules of Play
Pure 21.5 Blackjack is played with a fifty-two card deck with no joker. However, all four of the kings, queens, jacks, and 10s in the deck shall be replaced with four specially marked kings, queens, jacks, and 10s with the word Bonus on them. The game shall be played with a minimum of one and a maximum of eight decks. The game shall be played on a standard blackjack table which accommodates up to seven players and a player-dealer for a total of eight seated positions. Within each betting area for each seated position, there shall be three separate betting spaces specifically designated for three separate wagers; the game wager, the Red Flex Bet wager, and the Buster Blackjack Bet wager. Each position at the table has a fixed amount that may be wagered for each position and wager. Players must bet at least the table minimum. Back-line betting is not permitted for any wagers at the table.
The game also utilizes an action button to determine which player receives first action on their wager if the player-dealer's wager does not cover all player wagers at the table. The player-dealer's second card, which is dealt face-down and is turned over after each player has acted on their hand, determines the position of the action button. The player-dealer's position is not counted as a position. Other seats, in clockwise rotation from the player-dealer position, respectively represent the other numbers. Wagers shall be settled in a clockwise manner around the table, starting with the player with the action button, until all wager shave received action or until the player-dealer's wager has been exhausted. Furthermore, all wagers hall be settled around the table in the following order: all game wagers starting with the player with the action button, then all Red Flex Bet wagers, then all Buster Blackjack Bet wagers. When determining which position at the table shall receive the action button, cards shall hold the following values for the player-dealer's second card:

If the house dealer determines that the player-dealer's wager covers all wagers that players have placed on the table, the action button shall not be used. Rather, wagers shall be settled in a clockwise manner around the table, stating with the first player to the left of the house dealer. Furthermore, all wagers shall be settled around the table in the following order: all game wagers starting with the player to the left of the house dealer, then all Red Flex Bet wagers, then all Buster Blackjack wagers.
Object of the Game and Card/Hand Ranking:
The object of Pure 21.5 Blackjack is for the players and the player-dealer to add the numerical value of their cards to achieve the best possible point total of 21.5. This is accomplished by being dealt and ace card with a bonus 10, bonus jack, bonus queen or a bonus king, which shall be specially marked with the words "bonus," on the initial two cards dealt. This is referred to as a Pure 21.5 Blackjack. A player whose initial two card hand is a Pure 21.5 Blackjack shall be 3 to 2. If the player or the player-dealer does not receive a Pure 21.5 Blackjack, the object of the game is to draw additional cards, if needed, until they achieve a hand as close to a Pure 21.5 Blackjack without going over, as restricted by the chart below. A bonus card has a value of 10.5 if dealt with an ace on the initial two card hand. If dealt with three or more cards, or a card with a numerical value of 2 through 9, a bonus card shall have a value of 10. Furthermore, if two bonus cards are dealt on the initial two card hand, the hand shall have a value of 20. An ace shall have a value of 11 when dealt with any bonus card. An ace shall have a value of 1 or 11, at the player's discretion, when combined with three or more cards or a card with a numerical value of 2 through 9. Furthermore, if two ace cards are dealt on the initial two card hand, the hand shall have a value of 2 or 12 at the player's discretion. Cards with a value of 2 through 9 shall hold their face value. All suits shall be considered equal in rank.

Round of Play
At the start of a game, a player is offered the player-dealer position. Once a player-dealer position has been established for that game, the house dealer shall wait for each player to make their wager in accordance with the table limits.
Each player then has the following option(s) when placing their wager(s):
Place a game wager which pays 3 to 2 if a winning Pure 21.5 Blackjack is received and 1 to 1 for all other hand totals;
If a player placed a game wager, that player may place a Red Flex Bet wager, which pays according to the paytable, as shown below.
If a player placed a game wager, that player may place a Buster Blackjack Bet wager, which pays according to the paytable, as shown below.
Once the player-dealer has been established and all players have posted their bets by placing gaming chips on the appropriate betting areas of the table layout, keeping in mind the table minimum and maximum wagering limits, the house dealer shall deal each player two cards face-up. All cards dealt throughout the game are face-up, with the exception of the player-dealer's first and second cards. Each player shall receive one card face-up, starting with the first player position to the left of the player-dealer, in a clockwise manner around the table. Once each player has received a second card, the player-dealer is dealt a second card face-down, at which point the house dealer will turn the player-dealer's first card face-up. The player-dealer's second card shall be placed in front of the house dealer instead of the actual position of the player-dealer and shall remain face-down until all players have acted on their hands.
The player-dealer's face-down card shall be checked for a Pure 21.5 Blackjack when the player-dealer's face-up card is an ace or a bonus card. If the player-dealer has a Pure 21.5 Blackjack, players shall not be given the opportunity to draw additional cards and the hands shall be compared immediately. If the player-dealer does not have a Pure 21.5 Blackjack, each player is given an opportunity, starting with the player seated to the left of the player-dealer and continuing clockwise around the table, to request additional cards, referred to as a "Hit," to make the best possible hand. This shall also include "Doubling-down," "Splitting," or "Standing." Each player shall be required to hit or stand according to the guidelines below:
Player Hand Guidelines:
Must Stand On
Must Hit On
Have Option On
Hard 19 or more
Hard 11 or less
All other counts
A "Soft" hand is achieved when a hand contains an ace with a combination of two or more cards and the ace is counted as 11, not 1.
A "Hard" hand is achieved when a hand does not contain an ace, or when it does contain an ace, the ace is counted as 1, not 11.
The house dealer is the only person at the table that may touch the cards. Each player shall be required to signal to the house dealer by moving their hand in a sweeping motion towards their body, indicating they would like to "Hit" and receive an additional card(s), or by moving their hand in a side to side manner, indicating they wish to "Stand" and stay with the cards on the table. Once the house dealer has acted in accordance with the player's request, in accordance with the rules above, the house dealer shall expose the player-dealer's second card, which was dealt face-down, by placing it face-up. Once the player-dealer's face down card is exposed, the house dealer shall place the "Action" button on the appropriate position at the table according to the rules above, unless the house dealer determines that the player-dealer's wager covers all wagers that players have placed on the table, in which case the "Action" button shall not be used. One the "Action" button has been place, if applicable, the house dealer shall set the player-dealer's hand according to the table and rules as shown below:
Player-dealer Hand Guidelines:
Hard 17 or more
Soft 17 or less
No Options
A "Soft" hand is achieved when a hand contains an ace with a combination of two or more cards that add up to 17, and the Ace may be counted as either 1 or 11.
A "Hard" hand is achieved when a hand contains any combination of three or more cards adding up to 17. In the event that the hand includes an Ace, the Ace is counted as 1, not 11.
How Wagers are Paid, Collected, and Pushed
Once the player-dealer's hand has been revealed and set according to the chart above, the value of each player's hand shall be compared against the value of the player-dealer's hand. Wagers hall be settled in a clockwise manner around the table, starting with the player with the Action button or to the left of the house dealer (whichever is applicable), until all wagers have received action or until the player-dealer's wager has been exhausted. Furthermore, all wagers shall be settled around the table in the following order: all game wagers starting with the player with the Action button or to the left of the house dealer (whichever is applicable), then all Red Flex Bet wagers, then all Buster Blackjack Bet wagers. The following shall apply for each possible outcome when determining which hand wins, loses, or if the hands tie, referred to as a "Push."
The game wager shall win if the player's hand is a Pure 21.5 Blackjack and the value of the player-dealer's hand is less than or more than a Pure 21.5 Blackjack. The player-dealer shall pay the winning game wager 3 to 2.
The game wager shall win if the value of the player's hand is less than a Pure 21.5 Blackjack and the value of the player-dealer's hand is more than a Pure 21.5 Blackjack. The player-dealer shall pay the winning game wager 1 to 1.
The game wager shall lose if the value of the player's hand is more than a Pure 21.5 Blackjack and the value of the player-dealer's hand is less than a Pure 21.5 Blackjack. The player-dealer shall collect the losing game wager.
The game wager shall push if the player's hand is a Pure 21.5 Blackjack and the player-dealer's hand is a Pure 21.5 Blackjack, or if the value of the player's hand and the value of the player-dealer's hand are both the same, and the value is less than a Pure 21.5 Blackjack. In either this case, neither the player nor the player-dealer wins or loses; the game wager shall push, no action shall be taken on the game wager, and it shall be returned to the player.
If the value of the player's hand and the value of the player-dealer's hand are less than a Pure 21.5 Blackjack, the game wager shall either win or lose depending on whose hand is closest to a Pure 21.5 Blackjack without going over, referred to as a "Bust," according to the rules above.
The Red Flex Bet wager shall win if the player-dealer's hand qualifies according to the rules below.
The Red Flex Bet wager shall lose if the player-dealer's hand qualifies according to the rules below.
The Buster Blackjack Bet wager shall lose if the player-dealers' hand does not qualifies according to the rules below.
If the value of the player's hand and the value of the player-dealer's hand are more than a Pure 21.5 Blackjack, the following shall apply:
The game wager shall push if the value of the player-dealer's hand is 24 and the hand contains three cards. Furthermore, the three cards must be 8, 8, and 8. In this case, neither the player nor the player-dealer wins or loses; the game wager shall push, no action shall be taken on the game wager, and it shall be returned to the player.
The game wager shall lose if the player-dealer's hand is anything other than a three card hand of 8, 8, 8, which has a value of 24. The player-dealer shall collect the losing game wager.
The game wager shall lose if the value of the player's hand and the value of the player-dealer's hand are the same value. The player-dealer shall collect the losing game wager.
Pure 21.5 Blackjack Player Options
Double-Down
Players may double-down on the first two cards initially dealt to them. The player must place a second wager that is equal to or less than the game wager that was originally placed prior to the start of the game. The player shall receive only one card regardless of that total.
Split
Players can split any two cards of the same value or rank originally dealt to them. The player must place a second wager equal to the wager he/she originally placed prior to the start of the game. A player may draw as many cards as they desire per split card to make the best hand. Furthermore, players may double-down after each split. Players may split any bonus card (10, Jack, Queen, or King) of the same rank and split a maximum of two times for a total of three hands. When splitting bonus cards, the split hands will not be eligible for a Pure 21.5 Blackjack if an ace card is dealt to them. A player may draw as many cards as they desire per split card to make the best hand. Furthermore, players may double -down after each split. Players can split any two aces originally dealt to them but can only receive one extra card per ace. The Player must place a second wager equal the wager he/she originally placed prior to the start of the game. Aces do not qualify for a Pure 21.5 Blackjack after the split. A maximum of three splits is allowed per hand, giving a player up to 4 hands. However, aces may only be split once.
Odds
A winning Pure 21.5 Blackjack hand shall pay 3 to 2. All other winning hands shall be paid 1 to 1.
Red Flex Bet
For each seated position, there shall be one separate and specifically designated area for the placement of a Red Flex Bet wager. A player may only place a Red Flex Bet wager if they have also placed a game wager prior to the initial deal.
Only seated players may place a Red Flex Bet wager. Back-line betting is not permitted.
The payoff odds vary based on the number of red cards that are consecutively dealt to the player-dealer's hand. The more consecutive red cards dealt to the player-dealer, the higher the payoff. The payoff shall be determined once the player-dealer's hand is complete or a black card is drawn. A red card is any card that has the following suit: heart or diamond. A black card is any card that has the following suit: clubs or spades. If the player-dealer's first two cards are both "Red," the Red Flex Bet wager shall qualify for the "Two Red Cards" payout. If the player-dealer is required to take additional cards, according to the rules above, each additional and consecutive red card shall increase the payout until the player-dealer's hand is dealt a black card, is required to "Stand," or "Busts." Once a black card is received, any additional red cards received after being dealt a black card are not consecutive and do not qualify for a higher payout. Only red cards that are dealt in consecutive order to the player-dealer's hand, prior to receive a black card, shall qualify. If the player-dealer's first two cards are not both "Red," the Red Flex Bet wager shall automatically lose, regardless of whether the player-dealer is required to take additional cards and those cards are red and dealt in consecutive order. There is no opportunity for the Red Flex Bet wager to tie as it is dependent on the cards dealt to the player-dealer's hand, not a comparison of cards or hands.
A Red Flex Bet wager remains in action regardless of whether the player's game wager wins, loses, or pushes. The player-dealer must always complete their hand as long as there are Red Flex Bet wagers in play.

Once all players have made the decisions concerning their hand, according to the game rules, the player-dealer shall reveal their face-down card and play out the hand. The payoff odds vary based on the number of cards in the player-dealer's hand. The more cards in the player-dealer's hand, the higher the payoff. If the player-dealer's hand exceeds a Pure 21.5 Blackjack, all Buster Blackjack Bet wagers shall be paid according to the posted pay table, as shown below.
